We offer a wide range of extracurricular activities including fine arts, PE and music. We are planning for community based extracurricular offerings that engage our students in STEM and  outdoor recreation. In addition, many unique extracurricular courses will be available through Catholic Virtual

Latin can help improve English vocabulary, deepen communication skills, enhance critical thinking and give a new perspective on language. Half of our English language is made up of Latin words and roots, plus Latin provides the root words for all of the modern sciences. Latin is also the best preparation to properly learn any language.

The school will be a 5-day per week,  in person format

Yes, there is a dress code that all students are expected to follow. Uniforms will be required and dress code details will be established in the coming months.

Catholic Virtual is a prestigious online format that has been in business for over 20 years, serving thousands of students. Catholic Virtual has highly trained teachers with a bacherlor's or higher and closely monitors performance and ratings of its instructors. Catholic Virtual is one of the only virtual learning platforms that offers LIVE, PRIVATE instruction. Students at CCA will interact in real-time, with their private instructor. This format allows CCA to offer the highest quality for core curriculum, while keeping tuition reasonable and consistent. 

Parkside Baptist Church, which is centrally located and adjacent to Fassbinder Park at 1715 W. 2nd Avenue in Durango, CO. 

CCA is a sister school to St. Columba K-8 Catholic school in Durango. This relationship allows for some cost sharing of resources and for the continuation of the morality and virtuous teaching in the K-8 school for our high school population. CCA does not teach Catholicism and instead has a Ecumenical approach to learn about all Christian faiths. 

 CCA was founded to bring an alternative high school choice to Durango students who want to benefit from the principles of morality, friendship, and academic excellence in a Christian atmosphere. 

Covenant Christian Academy will be a unique high school experience where there will be thoughtful social fellowship, but it will not be for every student. We are built on 5 pillars: Ecumenical Formation, Moral Development, Discipline, Academic Excellence, and Small School Community of Self-Worth and Service. Any student in Colorado can, by law, participate in sports, Fall theater, marching band, and any other extra-curricular activity offered by local public high schools.  

  Virtual learning made personal is like a live classroom except the teacher is not in the same room. CCA has private virtual classes for core curriculum so the teacher will know our students and interact with them in real time during class.  There will always be an on-site teacher in the room as well.

Tuition will be $5,250 per academic year. There will be a $400 non-refundable registration fee to secure a spot for your student, in addition to the tuition. Tuition does not include uniforms, special event fees or extra supplies for certain electives.

The Colorado High School Activities Association (CHSAA) states that "A student enrolled in a school (public or private) may participate at a public school in his/her school district ofresidence orin the student’s school district of attendance if his/herschool does not sponsor a specific activity. If the public school(s) in the student’s school district of attendance or residence does not offer the specific activity, the student may participate at a public school in a school district contiguous to the school district of residence or at the nearest public school that has the facilities for and offers that activity, even if the public school is not in a contiguous school district."
